Chiefs quarterback Justin Herbert delivered a standout performance, throwing for 293 yards and one touchdown, effectively leading his team’s offense. Running back Josh Jacobs complemented the passing game with a solid 85 rushing yards, while wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was a key target, racking up 98 receiving yards. Together, they formed a potent offensive trio that kept the Chargers' defense on its heels. Defensively, the Chargers struggled to contain the Chiefs, though T.J. Edwards stood out with 10 total tackles. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Kansas City's defense forced a crucial turnover, allowing Herbert to capitalize with a touchdown drive that shifted the momentum in favor of the home team. Despite Uchenna Nwosu's impressive 1.5 sacks, the Chargers couldn't mount a comeback, ultimately falling short in their efforts.
