In a thrilling Week 4 matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the Atlanta Falcons 35-28, securing their place in the early-season playoff picture. With both teams looking to assert their dominance in the NFC, the stakes were high, and the Lions delivered a standout performance that keeps them competitive in the division. Quarterback Kyle Nails led the charge for Detroit, throwing for 192 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with key targets. RJ Harvey was a force on the ground, racking up 139 rushing yards and providing the Lions with a much-needed offensive boost. Jaxon Smith-Njigba also made his presence felt with 81 receiving yards, helping to keep the Falcons' defense on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Lions were impactful, with Ernest Jones IV leading the way with four total tackles, while Ruke Orhorhoro contributed with 1.5 sacks, putting pressure on the Falcons' offense. The turning point came late in the second half when Detroit's defense stifled a crucial Atlanta drive, allowing the Lions to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the victory. Despite Ja'Quan McMillian's two interceptions for the Falcons, it wasn't enough to overcome Detroit's offensive firepower and defensive resilience.
