In a pivotal Week 3 matchup of the 2026 season, the Arizona Cardinals claimed victory over the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 24-14. The win boosts Arizona's momentum as they look to solidify their standing in the competitive NFC West. Baker Mayfield showcased his arm strength, throwing for 285 yards and a touchdown, but it was Nick Singleton who stole the show on the ground with a remarkable 143 rushing yards, consistently finding gaps in the 49ers' defense. Meanwhile, Elijah Arroyo emerged as a reliable target for Mayfield, racking up 108 receiving yards to keep San Francisco in striking distance throughout the contest. Defensively, the Cardinals made crucial plays that shifted the game's momentum, highlighted by Charles Omenihu's interception that halted a potential scoring drive for the 49ers. Despite the strong individual performances from San Francisco’s Jeremy Chinn and Travon Walker, Arizona's defense ultimately held firm, allowing their offense to secure the win and control the clock in the second half.
