The Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured a decisive 41-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations with a dominant performance. With the stakes high, the Buccaneers showcased their offensive prowess, leaving the Falcons struggling to keep pace. Baker Mayfield led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for 197 yards and two touchdowns, effectively orchestrating the offense. Bucky Irving complemented the passing game with a stellar 104 rushing yards, while Chris Godwin Jr. stood out in the receiving corps, racking up 83 yards. The combination of Mayfield's arm and Irving's legs proved too much for Atlanta's defense to handle. Defensively, the Buccaneers were equally impressive, with Yaya Diaby registering two sacks and Zyon McCollum contributing an interception to stifle any potential scoring threats from the Falcons. The turning point in the game came early in the second half when Diaby's sack led to a turnover on downs, allowing Tampa Bay to extend their lead and take complete control of the game. Divine Deablo's eight tackles for Atlanta were not enough to shift momentum back in their favor.
