The Tennessee Titans opened the 2027 season with a decisive 27-12 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, asserting their dominance right out of the gate. With both teams looking to establish momentum early, the Titans delivered a performance that sets a strong tone for the weeks to come. Leading the charge for Tennessee was quarterback Cam Ward, who threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with the offense effectively. Wide receiver Carnell Tate also made a significant impact, racking up 92 receiving yards and proving to be a reliable target throughout the game. Meanwhile, the Raiders' Mike Washington Jr. managed to carry the load on the ground with 61 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Titans' aerial assault. Defensively, the Titans were anchored by Dre Greenlaw, who tallied nine total tackles, ensuring that the Raiders struggled to find any rhythm. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when the Titans' defense stifled a Raiders drive, forcing a turnover that led to a quick touchdown. This shift in momentum allowed Tennessee to pull away, ultimately leading to a comfortable win as they showcased both offensive firepower and defensive resilience.
