In a tightly contested matchup, the Carolina Panthers narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings 19-16 in Week 13 of the 2026 season. Both teams entered the game with playoff aspirations, making this victory crucial for Carolina's postseason hopes. The Panthers' offensive standout was their running back, who rushed for an impressive 101 yards, consistently finding holes in the Vikings' defense. Minnesota's quarterback did his best to keep pace, throwing for 190 yards and a touchdown, but it was the Panthers' ground game that ultimately made the difference in this low-scoring affair. Defensively, the Panthers' ability to create turnovers proved critical, as they recorded an interception that shifted momentum late in the game. The Vikings' defense did its part, with standout performances including 6 total tackles and 1.5 sacks; however, they were unable to contain the Panthers' rushing attack when it mattered most. The game's turning point came when Carolina capitalized on their interception, leading to a field goal that sealed their victory.
