In a commanding performance, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Minnesota Vikings 31-13 in Week 3 of the 2027 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the year, the Buccaneers demonstrated their offensive prowess, setting the tone for the matchup. Leading the charge for Tampa Bay was quarterback Baker Mayfield, who threw for an impressive 345 yards and two touchdowns. Ian Strong was his favorite target, racking up 91 receiving yards, while Zach Charbonnet added a solid ground game with 67 rushing yards. This potent offensive display kept the Vikings on their heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Buccaneers stifled the Vikings’ attempts to mount a comeback, with Minnesota unable to capitalize on their drives. The turning point came in the second quarter when Tampa Bay's defense forced a key turnover, leading to a quick touchdown that extended their lead. While Harrison Smith stood out for the Vikings with eight tackles, their efforts were not enough to contain the Buccaneers’ relentless offensive attack.
