In a hard-fought battle, the Tennessee Titans topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 28-22 in Week 5 of the 2027 season. This victory keeps the Titans in contention as they look to solidify their playoff aspirations, while the Buccaneers will need to regroup after a narrow loss that could impact their postseason hopes. Offensively, Baker Mayfield led the Buccaneers with 205 passing yards, but it was Cam Ward's lone touchdown pass that proved pivotal for the Titans. Zach Charbonnet contributed a solid ground game for the Bucs with 57 rushing yards, while Ian Strong shined as a target, racking up 97 receiving yards. However, it was the efficiency of the Titans’ offense that ultimately secured the win. Defensively, Keldric Faulk stood out for the Titans with 1.5 sacks, applying consistent pressure on Mayfield throughout the game. Amani Hooker’s interception late in the fourth quarter was a critical moment, stifling a potential Buccaneers comeback and allowing Tennessee to run out the clock. The Titans' defense managed to keep the pressure on, forcing Tampa Bay into challenging situations that led to their defeat.
