In a decisive Week 18 clash, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 24-12, securing their position in the playoffs. With both teams vying for a crucial win to bolster their postseason aspirations, the Raiders delivered a convincing performance that showcased their strength on both sides of the ball. Baker Mayfield led the Chiefs' offensive efforts, throwing for 262 yards and one touchdown, while Ashton Jeanty added a solid ground game with 89 rushing yards. Jayden Reed emerged as a key target, racking up 102 receiving yards, but the Chiefs struggled to convert drives into points, ultimately falling short of the scoreboard. On defense, the Raiders capitalized on key opportunities, with Jimmie Ward snagging an interception that shifted momentum in their favor. Despite strong individual performances from the Chiefs' defense, including Dax Hill's ten tackles and Dexter Lawrence II's sack, they were unable to contain the Raiders’ balanced attack. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Raiders capitalized on a turnover, extending their lead and forcing the Chiefs to play catch-up for the remainder of the game.
