In a tightly contested Week 16 matchup, the Washington Commanders held off the Minnesota Vikings, emerging with a narrow 17-14 victory. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was Washington that ultimately secured the win in a crucial moment of the season. Brock Purdy of the Vikings led the passing attack with 200 yards and a touchdown, but it was Chuba Hubbard who shone on the ground for the Commanders, racking up an impressive 98 rushing yards. Jerry Jeudy also had a standout performance for Minnesota, accumulating 141 receiving yards, showcasing his ability to make big plays downfield. Defensively, the game was highlighted by Alex Highsmith's impactful 1.5 sacks, which helped disrupt Purdy's rhythm. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Washington's defense stepped up to stifle a potential game-tying drive, allowing the Commanders to walk away with a vital victory as they push towards the postseason.
