In a decisive Week 15 matchup, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Detroit Lions 48-25, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season nears its conclusion. The Vikings displayed their offensive prowess, showcasing a high-scoring performance that was crucial for their postseason aspirations. Brock Purdy was the standout for Minnesota, throwing for 290 yards and an impressive five touchdowns, making him a key factor in the Vikings' offensive explosion. Germie Bernard also made his mark, racking up 111 receiving yards, while the Lions struggled to contain the dynamic passing attack. Cam Skattebo led the ground game for Detroit with 110 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Minnesota's offensive firepower. Defensively, the Lions had some bright spots, including Will Anderson Jr., who recorded 1.5 sacks, but the Vikings' offense proved too relentless. The turning point came early in the second half when Purdy threw two quick touchdown passes, effectively putting the game out of reach for Detroit. Despite some strong individual efforts, the Lions couldn't overcome the Vikings' powerful offense, which continues to build momentum as they head into the final weeks of the season.
