In a tightly contested battle in Week 14 of the 2026 season, the New Orleans Saints secured a 17-7 victory over the Carolina Panthers, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season draws to a close. This win was crucial for the Saints, who needed to maintain momentum heading into the final stretch of the season. Offensively, Josh Allen led the Saints with a strong performance, throwing for 246 yards, while Deebo Samuel Sr. made an impact on the ground with 75 rushing yards. Nico Collins emerged as the standout receiver, racking up 110 receiving yards and providing Allen with a reliable target throughout the game. Despite Joe Burrow’s lone touchdown pass for the Panthers, the New Orleans offense proved too potent in crucial moments. Defensively, the Saints made key plays that influenced the outcome, highlighted by R Mason Thomas's impressive 1.5 sacks that disrupted the Panthers' rhythm. The pivotal moment came when the Saints' defense stifled a late-game drive, preventing the Panthers from narrowing the gap and sealing the win. T.J. Edwards led the Panthers' defense with seven tackles, but it wasn't enough to overcome New Orleans' balanced attack.
