In a decisive Wildcard Round matchup, the Anchorage Dolphins overwhelmed the Denver Broncos with a final score of 52-20, securing their spot in the next round of the playoffs. The stakes were high, as both teams fought for survival in the postseason, but the Dolphins showcased their dominance throughout the game. Leading the charge for Anchorage was quarterback Trey Lance, who delivered a standout performance with 406 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Amon-Ra St. Brown was his primary target, racking up an impressive 160 receiving yards. Meanwhile, Denver's Tony Pollard made a valiant effort on the ground, rushing for 108 yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Dolphins' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Dolphins made crucial plays to stifle the Broncos' attempts at a comeback. Maxx Crosby led the way with two sacks, applying constant pressure on the Denver quarterback, while Jermod McCoy's interception shifted momentum firmly in Anchorage's favor. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Dolphins capitalized on a turnover, turning a close game into a commanding lead that the Broncos could never recover from.
