In a decisive Wildcard Round matchup, the New Orleans Saints topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 39-25, advancing in the 2026 postseason. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to secure their spot in the next round, but it was the Saints who came out on top with a commanding performance. Josh Allen led the Saints with an impressive 295 passing yards, showcasing his ability to move the ball downfield effectively. Deebo Samuel Sr also made his mark on the ground, contributing 76 rushing yards to the victory. Meanwhile, C.J. Stroud kept the Buccaneers competitive with three touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Saints' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Buccaneers struggled to contain New Orleans' attack, despite Patrick Queen's standout performance with 11 total tackles. The turning point of the game came when the Saints scored back-to-back touchdowns in the second quarter, creating a significant cushion that the Buccaneers could not overcome. Greg Rousseau managed to add some pressure with 1.5 sacks, but ultimately, the Saints' offensive firepower proved too much to handle.
