The Denver Broncos topped the New England Patriots 35-21 in a crucial Week 17 matchup, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season winds down. With both teams vying for critical seeding in the postseason, the Broncos' victory showcased their offensive firepower and resilience on the road. Bo Nix led the charge for Denver, throwing for an impressive 317 yards and contributing significantly to the team's scoring efforts. Troy Franklin was his favorite target, racking up 112 receiving yards, while the Broncos' balanced attack kept the Patriots' defense on their heels. Despite their efforts, New England's Drake Maye managed to throw two touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Denver's offensive output. Defensively, the Broncos put pressure on the Patriots, limiting their effectiveness and forcing critical turnovers. Although New England's Kevin Byard III recorded 11 tackles and Dre'Mont Jones added a sack, Denver's defensive unit was able to stifle the Patriots at key moments. The turning point came late in the second quarter, when a crucial interception by Christian Gonzalez halted a promising New England drive, allowing the Broncos to capitalize and pull ahead.
