In a tightly contested matchup, the Dallas Cowboys narrowly defeated the Houston Texans 24-21 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to establish momentum early in the year, but it was the Cowboys who ultimately came out on top. Dak Prescott was the offensive star for Dallas, throwing for 241 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the team in crucial moments. He connected with DeMario Douglas for a standout performance, as Douglas racked up 113 receiving yards, making key plays to keep drives alive. On the other side, David Montgomery made his mark for the Texans with an impressive 115 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the victory. Defensively, the Cowboys made their presence felt, particularly with Malachi Lawrence, who recorded 1.5 sacks to disrupt the Texans' rhythm. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Dallas's defense stood tall, forcing a turnover that set up a decisive touchdown, allowing the Cowboys to hold off a late surge from Houston. Azeez Al-Shaair led the Texans with 12 total tackles, but it was Dallas's timely defensive plays that ultimately sealed the win.
