In a commanding performance, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Washington Commanders 31-0 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. This victory solidifies Seattle's position as a contender, while Washington struggles to find their footing early in the year. Quarterback Sam Darnold led the charge for the Seahawks, throwing for 223 yards and a touchdown. He found his top target in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who racked up an impressive 138 receiving yards, consistently moving the chains and keeping the Commanders' defense on its heels. The Seahawks' offense displayed efficiency and balance, contributing to the lopsided score. Defensively, Seattle's unit was relentless, with Derick Hall making his presence felt by recording 1.5 sacks and disrupting Washington's rhythm. The turning point came when Nick Emmanwori intercepted a pass, stifling a potential scoring drive and shifting momentum firmly in favor of the Seahawks. Washington struggled to respond, unable to find any offensive traction throughout the game.
