In a tightly contested matchup, the Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the Carolina Panthers 20-13 in Week 17 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff hopes. With both teams vying for a crucial late-season victory, the stakes were high as they fought for positioning in the postseason race. Bryce Young showcased his skills for the Panthers, leading the game with 236 passing yards and one touchdown, while Jonathon Brooks added 72 rushing yards and Tetairoa McMillan topped the receiving charts with 85 yards. However, it was the Seahawks’ balanced offensive attack that ultimately secured the win, as they managed to capitalize on key drives throughout the game. Defensively, the Seahawks made a significant impact, highlighted by Byron Murphy II’s two sacks and Julian Love’s crucial interception. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Love’s pick halted a promising Panthers drive, allowing Seattle to maintain their lead and seal the victory. Bobby Okereke's seven tackles for Carolina kept them competitive, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the late-game pressure applied by the Seahawks' defense.
