In a pivotal Week 10 matchup, the New England Patriots secured a 24-10 victory over the Detroit Lions, keeping their playoff hopes alive. With the win, the Patriots improve their standing in the AFC, while the Lions struggle to find their rhythm as the season heads into its final stretch. TreVeyon Henderson led the charge for New England on the ground, rushing for 101 yards and finding key openings in the Lions' defense. Quarterback Mac Jones managed the game effectively, complementing Henderson’s performance with strategic passing, although Jared Goff of the Lions threw for a respectable 260 yards and one touchdown, showcasing his ability to move the ball despite the loss. Defensively, the Patriots were able to contain the Lions' explosive plays, limiting their scoring opportunities. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when New England's defense stifled a potential touchdown drive by forcing Goff into a critical interception, allowing the Patriots to extend their lead and maintain control for the remainder of the game. D.J. Reed's nine tackles provided a solid effort for Detroit, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide against a determined New England squad.
