In a commanding performance, the Los Angeles Chargers topped the Kansas City Chiefs 38-20 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. The win solidifies the Chargers' position in the playoff race, while the Chiefs will need to regroup following this setback at home. Omarion Hampton was the driving force for the Chargers, rushing for an impressive 130 yards, helping his team maintain control of the game. Quarterback Justin Herbert contributed with a solid passing game, supporting the ground attack and keeping the Chiefs' defense on their heels. Meanwhile, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes showcased his talent with 344 passing yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Chargers' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Chiefs struggled to contain the Chargers' rushing attack, which proved pivotal in the game's outcome. Despite Drue Tranquill's leading 10 tackles, Kansas City's defense could not make key stops when it mattered most. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Chargers scored back-to-back touchdowns, shifting momentum decisively in their favor and ultimately sealing the victory.
