In a commanding performance, the New York Jets triumphed over the Cleveland Browns with a final score of 48-3 in Week 5 of the 2026 season. The Jets showcased their dominance, solidifying their position as a serious contender this year, while the Browns struggled to find their footing on both sides of the ball. Geno Smith led the charge for New York, throwing for an impressive 382 yards and three touchdown passes, demonstrating both precision and poise throughout the contest. He connected with Garrett Wilson for a standout performance, as Wilson racked up 127 receiving yards, adding a significant spark to the Jets' aerial attack. Meanwhile, Breece Hall contributed effectively on the ground, rushing for 96 yards, keeping the Browns' defense on its heels. Defensively, the Jets made their presence felt, with David Onyemata recording two sacks that disrupted the Browns’ offensive rhythm. The game’s turning point came early in the second quarter when the Jets scored two quick touchdowns to pull ahead 21-0, effectively putting the game out of reach for Cleveland. Despite a solid effort from Tyson Campbell, who led the Browns with seven tackles, the New York defense stifled any chance of a Browns comeback, sealing the dominant victory.
