The Philadelphia Eagles took down the Jacksonville Jaguars with a convincing 31-13 victory in Week 5 of the 2026 season. With playoff aspirations on the line, this matchup showcased two teams vying for momentum, but the Eagles ultimately proved too strong on both sides of the ball. Trevor Lawrence led the Jaguars offensively, throwing for 265 yards and one touchdown, while Joe Mixon added 76 rushing yards to the mix. Brian Thomas Jr. was a standout in the receiving corps, racking up 117 yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Philadelphia's explosive offense. The Eagles capitalized on their opportunities, finding the end zone efficiently throughout the game. On the defensive side, the Eagles’ Zack Baun was a dominant force, recording 3.5 sacks that stifled Jacksonville's offensive rhythm. Additionally, Quinyon Mitchell's interception provided a crucial momentum shift, halting a potential scoring drive for the Jaguars. The turning point came when Philadelphia scored back-to-back touchdowns in the second quarter, creating a lead that Jacksonville could never fully recover from.
