In a decisive Week 1 matchup of the 2026 season, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the Miami Dolphins with a final score of 27-13. Both teams were eager to set a strong tone for the new season, but it was the Raiders who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess and solid defensive plays. Kirk Cousins led the charge for the Raiders, throwing for three touchdowns while guiding the offense effectively. Ashton Jeanty complemented the passing game with a solid ground attack, racking up 102 rushing yards. For the Dolphins, Malik Willis showcased his skills with 220 passing yards, and Caleb Douglas made his mark as the top receiver with 94 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Raiders’ scoring efficiency. Defensively, the Raiders made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor, with Kwity Paye notching two sacks to disrupt Miami's rhythm. The game's turning point came when Cousins threw his third touchdown, solidifying the Raiders' lead and putting the Dolphins in a challenging position. Despite Dante Trader Jr.'s interception for Miami, the Raiders’ defense held strong, ensuring their victory as they kicked off the season on a high note.
