In a decisive Week 1 clash of the 2027 season, the Green Bay Packers topped the Pittsburgh Steelers with a final score of 21-7. The victory marks a strong start for the Packers as they look to establish themselves early in the season, while the Steelers will need to regroup after a challenging opener. Leading the charge for Green Bay was quarterback Jordan Love, who threw for 309 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense effectively. Wide receiver Christian Watson was a key target, racking up 101 receiving yards, while Ashton Jeanty contributed on the ground with 61 rushing yards, helping to balance the attack. Defensively, the Packers made a significant impact, with Dani Dennis-Sutton recording 2.5 sacks that disrupted the Steelers' offensive flow. The turning point came in the second quarter when Dennis-Sutton's pressure led to a pivotal turnover, allowing Green Bay to extend their lead and maintain control throughout the game. Although the Steelers' Alex Highsmith led with six tackles and Patrick Queen snagged an interception, they could not overcome the Green Bay defense's relentless pursuit.
