In a decisive opening week matchup, the Cleveland Browns topped the Los Angeles Rams 31-14, signaling a strong start to the 2027 season. The victory not only showcases the Browns' offensive firepower but also sets the tone for a competitive year ahead as teams vie for playoff positioning. Cleveland's Cam Ward led the charge with a solid performance, throwing for 205 yards and ensuring crucial drives stayed alive. His favorite target, DK Metcalf, shined with 80 receiving yards, making key catches that stretched the Rams' defense. Meanwhile, the Rams' offense struggled to keep pace, with Matthew Stafford managing just one touchdown pass despite a commendable 79 rushing yards from Kyren Williams. Defensively, the Browns were relentless, with Grant Delpit making his mark through eight total tackles and an interception that shifted momentum in their favor. The game's turning point came when Delpit intercepted Stafford, setting up a quick touchdown that put the Browns up by two scores. Myles Garrett made his presence felt for the Rams with 1.5 sacks, but it wasn't enough to halt Cleveland's balanced attack and aggressive defense.
