In a thrilling Week 2 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers narrowly defeated the Green Bay Packers with a final score of 31-29, adding another win to their season. The stakes were high as both teams sought to establish momentum early in the 2027 season, but it was the Buccaneers who emerged victorious in a closely contested battle. Baker Mayfield shined for Tampa Bay, tossing three touchdown passes to lead his team’s offensive charge, while Green Bay's Jordan Love put up an impressive 391 passing yards in a valiant effort. Christian Watson stood out as a top target for the Packers, amassing 219 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win. Ashton Jeanty contributed on the ground with 58 rushing yards, but the Buccaneers' defense proved to be a pivotal factor in the game. Defensively, the Buccaneers were relentless, highlighted by Yaya Diaby's three sacks and Jacob Parrish's two interceptions, which shifted the momentum in Tampa Bay's favor. Antoine Winfield Jr. led the team with eight total tackles, providing a strong presence throughout the game. The critical turning point came in the fourth quarter when Parrish's second interception sealed the victory, allowing the Buccaneers to hold off a late comeback from the Packers.
