In a tightly contested matchup, the Dallas Cowboys narrowly defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-25 in Week 3 of the 2027 season. Both teams entered the game looking to gain momentum early in the season, but it was the Cowboys who ultimately came out on top in this thrilling affair. Javonte Williams was the star of the show for Dallas, racking up an impressive 170 rushing yards, proving to be a workhorse for the Cowboys' offense. Baker Mayfield led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for 208 yards and a touchdown, while Chris Godwin Jr. showcased his skills with 132 receiving yards. Despite their strong performance, the Buccaneers fell just short of victory. Defensively, Zaire Franklin was a standout for Tampa Bay, recording four total tackles and a sack, but it was Shavon Revel Jr. of the Cowboys who made the crucial play of the game with an interception that shifted momentum. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Revel Jr.'s pick thwarted a potential game-winning drive for the Buccaneers, allowing Dallas to hold on for the win.
