In a nail-biting Week 4 showdown, the Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the Detroit Lions 17-16, securing a hard-fought victory at home. Both teams were looking for a critical win to bolster their playoff hopes, but it was the Seahawks who emerged victorious in this tightly contested battle. Sam Darnold led the Seahawks offensively, throwing for 225 yards and one touchdown, connecting frequently with Cooper Kupp, who racked up 98 receiving yards. The Seattle offense managed to find key moments to convert, allowing them to maintain a slim lead throughout the game. Meanwhile, Sione Vaki was a standout for Detroit on the ground, rushing for 66 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Seahawks' offensive firepower. On the defensive side, Ernest Jones IV emphasized his presence with 11 total tackles, while Drake Thomas contributed significantly with two sacks, disrupting the Lions' offensive rhythm. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Seattle's defense held strong, preventing Detroit from converting a crucial third down, ultimately sealing the game and securing the win for the Seahawks.
