The Cincinnati Bengals topped the Denver Broncos 33-21 in a Week 5 showdown that had playoff implications for both teams. With this victory, the Bengals continue to solidify their position in the AFC, while the Broncos look to regroup as they head deeper into the season. Cincinnati's offense was powered by a standout performance from Tahj Brooks, who rushed for 113 yards, providing a strong ground game that kept the chains moving. Quarterback Joe Burrow connected effectively with Tee Higgins, who racked up 85 receiving yards and was a consistent target throughout the game. Bo Nix of the Broncos also had a commendable outing, throwing for 271 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Bengals' offensive efficiency. Defensively, the Bengals were able to limit the Broncos' big plays, forcing Nix to work hard for his production. The game turned decisively in the Bengals' favor late in the second quarter when they intercepted a pass from Nix, leading to a quick touchdown that shifted momentum. Despite a solid performance from Denver's defense, highlighted by Alex Singleton's eight tackles and Zach Allen's two sacks, they could not contain Cincinnati's balanced attack.
