In a tightly contested matchup, the Detroit Lions held off the Las Vegas Raiders with a final score of 20-16, securing their position in the playoffs as the regular season came to a close in Week 18. Both teams fought hard, but the Lions managed to outlast the Raiders to clinch a crucial victory. Jared Goff led the Lions' offense with 178 passing yards, while Antwan Raymond was a standout on the ground, racking up 96 rushing yards. The Lions' balanced attack proved effective, allowing them to maintain control of the game. Fernando Mendoza of the Raiders contributed with a touchdown pass, but it wasn’t enough to propel his team to victory as they fell short in the end. Defensively, Derrick Moore was a force for the Lions, recording two sacks that disrupted the Raiders' rhythm and added pressure on Mendoza throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when a critical interception by Treydan Stukes nearly shifted momentum, but the Lions' defense held firm, ultimately sealing the game. With both teams showcasing their strengths, it was the Lions' ability to make key defensive stops that made the difference in this nail-biter.
