In a hard-fought battle in Week 1 of the 2026 season, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Green Bay Packers with a final score of 13-6. Both teams faced high expectations entering the season, but it was the Vikings who emerged victorious, setting a positive tone for their campaign. Kyler Murray was the standout performer for Minnesota, throwing for 1 touchdown and adding 49 rushing yards to his impressive stat line. Justin Jefferson also shone, racking up 92 receiving yards, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and make critical plays. Meanwhile, Jordan Love led the Packers with 232 passing yards but struggled to find the end zone, ultimately falling short in the scoring department. Defensively, the Vikings made their presence felt with Dallas Turner recording two sacks to disrupt Green Bay's offensive rhythm. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Minnesota's defense stifled a promising drive by the Packers, forcing a turnover on downs. That momentum shift allowed the Vikings to maintain their lead and secure the win, putting them in a strong position as they move forward in the season.
