The Miami Dolphins secured a solid 24-10 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 9 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With this win, the Dolphins demonstrated their ability to perform under pressure, while the Lions struggled to find their rhythm on both sides of the ball. Malik Willis led the Dolphins' offense with a key touchdown pass, while Jared Goff of the Lions put up impressive numbers, finishing with 251 passing yards. De'Von Achane was a standout in the backfield, contributing 74 rushing yards and helping to keep the chains moving for Miami. Amon-Ra St. Brown was the top receiver for Detroit, amassing 65 receiving yards in a losing effort. Defensively, Miami made critical plays that swung momentum in their favor, highlighted by Jacob Rodriguez's eight tackles and Chop Robinson's two sacks. The turning point came in the second half when Robinson's pressure on Goff led to a crucial turnover, allowing the Dolphins to extend their lead. The Lions' inability to counter Miami's defensive pressure ultimately sealed their fate in this matchup.
