In a tightly contested matchup, the New Orleans Saints narrowly defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers with a final score of 2-0 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. With both teams struggling to find the end zone, this game was crucial for playoff positioning, adding pressure to capitalize on every opportunity. Offensively, the standout was Drew Allar of the Steelers, who threw for an impressive 315 yards but was unable to convert those yards into points. Joe Milton of the Saints managed to throw one touchdown, while Travis Etienne Jr. made a significant impact on the ground with 139 rushing yards, providing just enough firepower to secure the win. DK Metcalf also contributed for the Steelers with 97 receiving yards, but the offense ultimately faltered in the red zone. Defensively, the Saints' Kaden Elliss recorded a key sack that disrupted the Steelers' momentum, while Jalen Ramsey of the Steelers came up big with two interceptions, but his efforts weren't enough to shift the game's outcome. The turning point came late in the game when the Saints defense held strong, stifling any hopes of a late-game comeback by Pittsburgh, cementing their victory with a crucial defensive stand.
