In a decisive matchup on the road, the Indianapolis Colts topped the Houston Texans 27-12, solidifying their position early in the 2026 season. With this victory, the Colts improve their record and demonstrate their potential as a playoff contender, while the Texans struggle to find consistency. Leading the charge for the Colts was quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr., who threw for 218 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability to manage the game effectively. Meanwhile, Jonathan Taylor’s 81 rushing yards helped keep the Texans' defense on its heels, and Keenan Allen emerged as a key target, racking up 98 receiving yards to keep the chains moving. Defensively, the Colts made their presence felt, with Laiatu Latu contributing 1.5 sacks that disrupted Houston's offensive rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Latu's pressure forced a critical turnover, allowing the Colts to capitalize and extend their lead. The Texans struggled to recover from that momentum shift, ultimately sealing their fate in this contest.
