In a thrilling season opener, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Cleveland Browns 36-26, showcasing their offensive firepower and setting the tone for the 2026 season. Both teams aimed to establish an early lead in the highly competitive league, but it was the Jaguars who came out on top in this Week 1 matchup. Leading the charge for Jacksonville was running back Bhayshul Tuten, who put on an impressive display with 236 rushing yards, effectively controlling the tempo of the game. Quarterback Taylen Green of the Browns also had a solid outing, throwing for 204 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn’t enough to match the Jaguars' offensive onslaught. Brian Thomas Jr. was a key target for Jacksonville, racking up 104 receiving yards to help secure the win. Defensively, the Jaguars were able to make crucial stops, highlighted by Ruke Orhorhoro’s sack that disrupted Cleveland's rhythm. While Grant Delpit led the Browns with four total tackles, it was the Jaguars’ ability to limit big plays and capitalize on turnovers that marked a turning point in the game. Ultimately, Jacksonville's balanced attack and defensive resilience propelled them to victory, setting a strong precedent for the remainder of the season.
