In a decisive Week 18 matchup, the Buffalo Bills topped the New York Jets 35-17, solidifying their position as a formidable contender heading into the playoffs. With both teams vying for momentum, the Bills showcased their offensive prowess, leaving the Jets scrambling for answers as the game unfolded. Leading the charge for Buffalo was quarterback Jalen Milroe, who threw for 229 yards and a touchdown, effectively distributing the ball to keep the Jets' defense on its heels. Running back Nick Singleton contributed significantly with 84 rushing yards, while Christian Watson provided a reliable target, securing 61 receiving yards. This offensive performance set the tone for the Bills and proved too much for the Jets to handle. While the Jets relied on defensive standout T.J. Watt, who recorded 1.5 sacks, it was the Bills' ability to stifle the Jets’ offensive efforts that defined the game. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when Buffalo's defense forced a critical turnover, allowing the Bills to capitalize and extend their lead. Despite a late rally from New York, the groundwork laid by Buffalo's defense ensured their victory and solidified their playoff aspirations.
