In a tightly contested Week 17 matchup, the Carolina Panthers narrowly defeated the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 14-9. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was the Panthers who managed to secure the crucial victory, solidifying their postseason positioning. Dak Prescott was the standout performer for Carolina, throwing for 310 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. DeVonta Smith also shined, racking up 110 receiving yards and providing Prescott with a reliable target downfield. Meanwhile, Adrian Peterson led the Seahawks' ground game with 68 rushing yards, but it was not enough to overcome the Panthers' offensive firepower. Defensively, both teams made key plays, but the Panthers' defense held strong when it mattered most. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Carolina's defense forced a crucial turnover, stopping Seattle's momentum and allowing the Panthers to maintain their lead. The Seahawks' Caleb Ransaw topped the tackle charts with eight total tackles, but the lack of scoring in critical moments ultimately cost them the game.
