In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 20-14, solidifying their position in the early part of the 2027 season. With both teams looking to establish dominance, the stakes were high as they battled for conference positioning. Seattle's offense was led by veteran running back Adrian Peterson, who rushed for 69 yards, providing crucial ground support. On the other side, San Francisco's Josh Allen showcased his aerial prowess, throwing for 227 yards and a touchdown, while Calvin Johnson emerged as his top target with an impressive 129 receiving yards. Defensively, the 49ers were anchored by Roger McCreary, who tallied seven total tackles, but it was their inability to contain the Seahawks' offensive rhythm that proved costly. A critical turning point came in the fourth quarter when Seattle's defense held San Francisco to a crucial three-and-out, allowing the Seahawks to maintain their lead and secure the victory.
