In a tightly contested NFC North clash, the Chicago Bears narrowly defeated the Green Bay Packers 22-17 in Week 5 of the 2026 season. Both teams were looking to establish dominance within the division, but it was the Bears who ultimately came out on top, securing a crucial victory. Bears running back Josh Jacobs led the offensive charge with 83 rushing yards, providing a steady ground game that kept the Packers' defense on its heels. Quarterback Jordan Love of the Packers had a solid outing, throwing for 160 yards and two touchdowns, but it was Davante Adams' 54 receiving yards that highlighted the Bears' aerial attack, emphasizing their balanced offensive effort. Defensively, the Bears made significant plays that turned the tide of the game, particularly A.J. Terrell Jr., who snagged two crucial interceptions to stifle Green Bay's momentum. D.J. Reader's sack also contributed to a relentless defensive effort that kept pressure on Love throughout the contest. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Terrell's second interception set up the Bears for a game-winning drive, showcasing the importance of defensive plays in this hard-fought battle.
