The New England Patriots secured a 27-17 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 4 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams eager to assert their dominance in the division, the game proved crucial for postseason implications. Dak Prescott led the Patriots with a solid performance, throwing for 224 yards and contributing to the team’s scoring efforts. Although Trevor Lawrence of the Bills tossed two touchdown passes, it was Ashton Jeanty’s effective ground game, racking up 58 rushing yards, that helped the Patriots maintain control of the matchup. DeMario Douglas also shined for Buffalo, accumulating 92 receiving yards. Defensively, the Patriots made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor. Grover Stewart was a force with 1.5 sacks, consistently pressuring Lawrence, while Taron Johnson's interception thwarted a potential scoring drive for Buffalo. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Johnson's pick set up a crucial touchdown, giving New England a lead they would not relinquish.
