The San Francisco 49ers held off the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 21-14 in a closely contested Week 7 matchup of the 2026 season. With playoff implications looming, this victory keeps the 49ers firmly in the mix as they aim for a strong finish to the regular season. Brock Purdy led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for 151 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his efficiency under pressure. The 49ers also utilized their passing game effectively, with George Kittle contributing 40 receiving yards. Atlanta's Bijan Robinson had a standout performance on the ground with 118 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome San Francisco's offensive firepower. The 49ers' defense played a crucial role in the outcome, highlighted by Fred Warner's interception that shifted momentum in the second half. Gervon Dexter Sr. of the Falcons made his presence felt with a sack, but ultimately, the defensive efforts could not prevent San Francisco from seizing control late in the game. The turning point came when Warner's pick set up a pivotal touchdown drive, allowing the 49ers to secure the lead and the win.
