The Detroit Lions cruised to a commanding 52-17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 of the 2026 season. With this win, the Lions not only solidify their position in the playoff hunt but also send a strong message about their offensive firepower as they look to build momentum heading into the latter part of the season. Jared Goff led the charge for Detroit, throwing for three touchdowns, while Jahmyr Gibbs anchored the ground game with an impressive 108 rushing yards. Jameson Williams was a standout in the receiving corps, racking up 158 yards and showcasing his ability to stretch the field. This dynamic trio proved too much for Arizona's defense, as they consistently found ways to exploit gaps and create big plays. On the defensive side, the Lions made crucial stops that turned the tide of the game. Avonte Maddox led the way with six tackles, helping to limit the Cardinals' offensive opportunities. The turning point came when Jack Campbell intercepted a pass, halting a potential scoring drive from Arizona and allowing the Lions to extend their lead. With a dominant performance on both sides of the ball, Detroit firmly established their playoff intentions.
