The Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Carolina Panthers with a commanding 38-10 victory in Week 6 of the 2027 season. This matchup was crucial for both teams as they aimed to solidify their playoff aspirations, but it was the Buccaneers who emerged as the dominant force on the field. Baker Mayfield delivered a standout performance, throwing for three touchdowns and rushing for an impressive 136 yards, showcasing his dual-threat capabilities. While Bryce Young led the Panthers in passing yards with 296, it wasn't enough to keep pace with Mayfield's explosive play, especially as Rashee Rice put up 139 receiving yards for Carolina in a losing effort. Defensively, the Buccaneers made their presence felt, led by Rueben Bain Jr., who recorded two sacks, and Antoine Winfield Jr., who snagged an interception. The turning point came in the second quarter when Mayfield's touchdown run and subsequent defensive plays shifted momentum decisively in favor of Tampa Bay, allowing them to control the game from that moment forward.
