The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the New Orleans Saints 37-14 in a decisive Week 7 matchup that solidified their position in the playoff race. With this victory, the Steelers showcased their offensive prowess and effective game plan, leaving the Saints scrambling to regain form as the season progresses. Drew Allar was the star of the show for Pittsburgh, throwing for 309 yards and an impressive five touchdowns, demonstrating pinpoint accuracy and a strong command of the offense. While Rico Dowdle managed only 29 rushing yards, it was the aerial attack that truly set the tone for the Steelers' scoring. On the receiving end, Chris Olave put forth a solid effort for the Saints, racking up 96 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, the Steelers were able to stifle the Saints' attempts to gain momentum, with Daylen Everette's interception proving to be a pivotal moment in the game. The Saints struggled to find rhythm, and the Steelers' defense, led by DeShon Elliott's two tackles, kept pressure on the Saints' offense throughout. The turning point came when Allar connected for his third touchdown pass, pushing the lead to three scores and forcing New Orleans to abandon their run-heavy game plan.
