The Seattle Seahawks delivered a commanding performance, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 31-8 in a decisive Week 9 showdown. With playoff positioning on the line, the Seahawks showcased their dominance, solidifying their place in the NFC hierarchy. Quarterback Jalen Milroe was the star of the night, throwing for an impressive 372 yards and four touchdowns, leading Seattle's offensive onslaught. Tory Horton emerged as his top target, racking up 151 receiving yards and finding the end zone once. Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey led the 49ers' ground attack with 75 rushing yards, but the team struggled to keep pace with the Seahawks’ high-flying offense. Defensively, the Seahawks were effective in applying pressure, with DeMarcus Lawrence contributing a key sack to disrupt San Francisco's rhythm. Although Fred Warner registered 14 tackles and an interception for the 49ers, the turning point came in the second quarter when Milroe connected with Horton for a long touchdown, giving Seattle a lead they would not relinquish. The Seahawks' defense held firm, stifling any hope of a 49ers comeback.
