In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the Houston Texans narrowly defeated the Indianapolis Colts, finishing the game with a score of 31-26. This hard-fought victory places the Texans in a strong position early in the 2026 season, as they continue to build momentum in their quest for playoff contention. On the offensive side, Daniel Jones of the Colts showcased his skills, throwing for 303 yards and two touchdowns, proving to be a formidable presence under center. However, it was Dylan Sampson of the Texans who stole the show on the ground, rushing for 125 yards and consistently moving the chains. Keenan Allen also made a significant impact for the Colts, racking up 126 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Texans made crucial stops at key moments, led by Kamari Lassiter's five total tackles. Will Anderson Jr. was a disruptive force, registering two sacks that disrupted the Colts' offensive rhythm. The game's turning point came when Jimmie Ward intercepted a pass, halting a potential scoring drive for Indianapolis and allowing Houston to regain control and ultimately seal the victory.
