In a thrilling opening week of the 2026 season, the Jacksonville Jaguars outlasted the Cleveland Browns with a final score of 48-36. Both teams were eager to kick off the season on a high note, but it was the Jaguars who claimed victory in this high-scoring affair. Leading the charge for Jacksonville was quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who displayed his elite skills by throwing for 296 yards and five touchdowns. Wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. was a standout target, racking up 113 receiving yards, while Bhayshul Tuten provided a solid ground game with 82 rushing yards, contributing to the team’s offensive fireworks. Defensively, the Jaguars made critical plays to secure their win, highlighted by a key interception from Antonio Johnson that shifted momentum in their favor. Arik Armstead added pressure with a sack, and while the Browns' Tyson Campbell led the game in tackles, it was the timely defensive plays from Jacksonville that ultimately sealed the game. This victory sets the tone for the Jaguars as they look to build on this strong start to the season.
