In a high-octane Week 17 showdown, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Houston Texans with a commanding final score of 82-50, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season comes to a close. Both teams entered the game with significant stakes, but it was the Jaguars who seized the momentum early and never looked back. Trevor Lawrence showcased his elite skills, throwing for a staggering 390 yards and an impressive six touchdown passes, lighting up the Texans’ defense throughout the contest. Meanwhile, Dylan Sampson put forth a valiant effort for Houston, rushing for 195 yards, while Nico Collins added 157 receiving yards, but their efforts were ultimately overshadowed by Jacksonville's offensive firepower. Defensively, the Jaguars stepped up when it mattered most, with Alex Highsmith leading the way with seven total tackles. Travon Walker made his presence felt in the backfield, recording two sacks that disrupted Houston's rhythm. The game's turning point came when Earl Little Jr. intercepted a pass in crucial moments, allowing Jacksonville to extend their lead and maintain control until the final whistle.
