In a decisive Week 18 matchup, the Chicago Bears topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 24-10, securing their spot in the playoffs. With the stakes high for both teams, the Bears showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, cementing their postseason aspirations. Caleb Williams was the star for Chicago, throwing for three touchdowns and making critical plays to keep the offense rolling. Meanwhile, D'Andre Swift provided a solid ground game with 88 rushing yards, and Rome Odunze emerged as a key target, racking up 109 receiving yards. The combination of Williams' efficiency and the reliable contributions from Swift and Odunze proved too much for the 49ers to handle. Defensively, the Bears were relentless, led by Carlton Davis III's eight tackles and Dylan Stewart's two sacks, which disrupted the 49ers' offensive rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Stewart's pressure led to a critical turnover, allowing Chicago to convert on the ensuing drive and build a commanding lead. This defensive performance not only stifled San Francisco’s offensive attempts but also bolstered the Bears' momentum, securing their victory.
