In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the Tennessee Titans topped the New York Jets with a final score of 29-17. Both teams were eager to start the year on a positive note, but it was the Titans who asserted their dominance in front of the home crowd. Quarterback Cam Ward was the standout for Tennessee, throwing for 324 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect downfield effectively. He found a favorite target in Carnell Tate, who racked up an impressive 172 receiving yards, making pivotal plays that kept the Jets' defense on their heels. Running back Nick Singleton added to the offensive explosion with 90 rushing yards, helping to maintain the Titans' control of the game. Defensively, Oluwafemi Oladejo was a key contributor for Tennessee, recording 1.5 sacks and disrupting the Jets' offensive flow. The turning point of the game came in the second quarter when the Titans scored back-to-back touchdowns, building a lead that the Jets struggled to overcome. New York's A.J. Terrell Jr. led the defense with seven tackles, but ultimately, the Titans' balanced offensive attack proved too much to handle.
